What God told Ortom about 2019
Benue Gov. Samuel Ortom has received a divine nod for his next political venture. So he is getting ready for a second term in 2019.
He said on Thursday he had been knocking at the heaven’s door since December 2016, and he dropped the hint in August as pressure mounted on him to run again. And God answered on Wednesday.
Ortom made this known to visiting party members drawn from 13 local government areas of the state. They came to endorse him for the second term.
“I accept your endorsement. I’m more committed now than before to offer service to the people. The endorsement has encouraged me, because the voice of the people is the voice of God.
“After pressure from people to contest in 2019, I decided to seek divine directive, God told me to hearken to the voice of the people. On this note, I have agreed to make myself available and will contest in 2019.”
The governor said he would have gone back to his farm if God had told him to back off.
