- 35 political parties pull out, form CIPP
Crisis rocks the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), leading to the pulling out of 35 political parties in Nigeria from the Coalition.
At a press conference in Abuja on Friday, the 35 political parties declared that they have formed a Coalition of Integrity Political Parties (CIPP) aimed at supporting the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The CIPP declared the support of members for the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, urging the president to step up plans and measures to boost economic development in the country.
They parties appealed to the president in his new administration to extend a hand of fellowship to individuals with great assets to drive home the integration plan.
