Speaker Gbajabiamila urges Muslims to pray for peace in Nigeria
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, in a congratulatory message to Muslims at the commencement of Ramadan on Saturday, urged Muslims to pray for the peace of Nigeria during the Ramadan fast.
Gbajabiamila in a statement noted that the holy month comes with a lot of blessings. He encouraged the faithful to use the period to pray for peace and unity in the country.
The Speaker expressed the belief that Ramadan fasting entails a lot of sacrifices, including total abstinence from food and other indulgences. He enjoined Muslims to observe the fast in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
Speaker Gbajabiamila wished all Muslims a successful month of Ramadan.
