Madrid blast Arsenal after “embarrassing” bid for star man
By Boluwatife Ezekiel Olaleye
Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez has blasted Arsenal for making an embarrassing bid for their French striker Karim Benzema.
The European champions have struggled to hit the height they were last season and that has been largely down to Benzema’s poor showing in front of goal this season.
This has led to the rumors that Madrid are planning to sell Benzema but it looks like the French man will not be sold for cheap.

Reports claim that figure around £40 million is way below Perez’s valuation of the front-man and was immediately rejected.
Benzema has endured a miserable season, netting only two goals in his first 13 games and a double against Champions League minnows Apoel Nicosia on Tuesday, November 21 has not changed Perez’s desire to move him on after eight years in Spain.
The former Lyon striker has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a number of seasons and despite his lack of goals Arsene Wenger is keen to bolster his attack, with contract rebels Sanchez and Mesut Ozil looking more and more likely to leave at the end of their current deals.
What is clear is that if Arsenal and Arsene Wenger really wish to lure Benzema to the Emirates, they will have to pay a huge sum to convince Real Madrid chiefs.
