Pope: Members of Roman Catholic slam Lalong over his comment, demand apology

Members of the Roman Catholic Church expressed displeasure over the statement made by the Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong concerning the Pope of the Catholic church while accepting the offer to be the DG of the All Progressive Congress presidential campaign council.

Simon Lalong had supported the Muslim-Muslim ticket after visiting Mr. President, Muhammad Buhari in Abuja.

Plateau state governor, Simon Lalong said for the fact that he is a member of the Catholic Church, who is well recognized, the Pope has never corrected him that he is doing the wrong thing.

However, the Catholic Member has pointed a fault finger at him for bringing the holy Father into the affairs of politics and the upcoming election.

In addition, the member demanded for his immediate suspension from the church regarding the false statement about their father.

Also, the president of the concerned Catholic members In Nigeria, Dr Ben Amodu has said Simon Lalong must tender an apology over his blasphemy against the man of God.
