Pantami’s plan attack eminent – Plateau LG boss raises alarm
By Kingsley Chukwuka
The Local Government Chairman of Langtang North in Plateau State, Hon. Ubandoma Laven has raised the alarm over a planned attack of Fulani herdsmen in Langtang north and south of the State.
The LG boss said at about 4pm on Saturday, his community witnessed influx of Fulani bandits along the southern zone of the State.
“They video they have been circulating that Isa Pantami, a Sheikh and an Islamic Cleric as at then, when he said they will attack Langtang Community, is it what that is about to happen?”, the LG boss queried?.
Our correspondent reports that Isa Pantami is now the current Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, but recalls that the statement credited to him was when he was only known as a Sheikh and an Islamic Cleric.
However with the Plateau LG boss claims of influx of Fulani war like herders invading the community, gives credence to the assertion made earlier by the Minister.
“The Special Military Task Force Sectional Command in Plateau South has confirmed it as well as the Police Divisional Command in the region, both telling us to alert our people and be vigilant”, Laven Said.
Laven disclosed this at the weekend in Jos while briefing Journalists.
He said: “If the security agencies are telling us that there is an impending attack and that they are aware of it, what are they doing about it? Now our people are not having it easy, we are having sleepless nights.
“I am calling on all security agencies to know that the Langtang people are under red alert. They have said it, and they have come around and we have felt their input already.
“We call on security agencies not to allow people to be massacred they way it is already going in Plateau.
“Buhari please say something about Plateau, all the media aids to the president, please say something”, Laven laments.
