Presidency 2023: Atiku begs PDP for one more opportunity
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has begged leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give him one more opportunity to take another shot at the presidency in the 2023 elections. The PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 general election promised to deliver the 2023 elections to the PDP, given the presidential ticket of the party.
Atiku held a consultation meeting with members of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) to notify them of his intention to contest for the party’s presidential ticket in the preparations for the 2023 elections.
Atiku appealed to the PDP leaders: “Please join me in building bridges across this country so that every part of this country will have a sense of belonging.
“Leaders, elders, wise men of our great party, I call on you to please give me another opportunity to advance all these ideals of our party so that we can consolidate democracy, unity, and development of our country.”
Atiku, thereafter, took to his facebook page to announce: “Today’s meeting with the Board of Trustees of the PDP shows clearly that our party is organic and ready to lead Nigeria into a brighter future.”
