It is no longer news that a notorious leader of bandits in Zamfara State, Ado Aleru, has been turbaned as Sarkin Fulani. 

He is reportedly turbanned by the Emir of Yandoto Daji Emirate, Aliyu Garba Marafa.

According to TVC News, the turbaning ceremony took place on Saturday last week.

Reacting on the development, popular Nigerian broadcaster and multiple awards winning journalist, Babajide Otitoju has said it is such a shame that the even took place.

He said he saw even a police man was among the people that attended the event.

“One of the earlier thing the emir could do is to bring a person that killed many people, who is known to have killed and robbed many women of their husbands. Even a police man in uniform attended the event. This is how bad things has gone in our country. Now tell me how a soldier would feel comfortable to put his life on the line when politicians are conniving with these bandits.” Babajide Otitoju stated.
